TKSM (Tomaszow Natural Resources Mine) "Biala Gora" Co. Ltd. exploit the biggest natural resources of quartz sands in Europe, presenting about 80% in domestic resources of glass-making and maulding
sands.
Favorable parameters and still improved processing allow to get almost all the assortments of industrial sands: glass-making, maulding and sand filtration gravel. The mine also offers wide range of quartz compositionswith closely defined sands granulates, adapted to client’s individual demands, which find application in building chemistry.
For 2 years the mine "Biala Gora" has also been the leading producer of kaolin. Resources of quartz sandstones in the area of Biala Gora occur in asymmetrical syncline of Tomaszow Basin. Sediment resources came up in cretaceous period, ca. 120-150 millions years ago.Resources are made up of sandstones with siliceous content ca. 98% SiO2, usually poorly concise, with loamy adhesive. In majority they have granulate of 0,1-0,5 mm, white colour with shades from yellow to
rust.
Over the resources occurs layer of stones called outlay. In the outlay there are sands, and in places - clays of glacial descent..
